Laurie holds a Bachelor of Fine Art and Physical Education. She has been able to combine these two disciplines to create a unique lifestyle of art and recreation.

She was born in Canada and vacations there in the summer while living in Western Australia. Whether Laurie is bush walking in Australia, kayaking in Canada, beach combing, gardening or flying she finds inspiration in the natural world for her artwork.

Laurie also likes to hold art workshops with community groups for those that want to tap into their creative spirit. She has taught numerous groups from children to adults who always find her enthusiasm for art refreshing.
Laurie has artwork represented in many private collections worldwide. She has had a number of solo and group exhibitions in Western Australia with part proceeds to charities.
